Here it is! The giveaway I have been alluding to for a couple of months now. Aren’t you excited? I sure am!

First, you need a little bit of background before I go into the contest. A couple of years ago I joined this site called OurStage where musicians enter their music in monthly contests in different channels, divided by song type or style. The winner of a channel was given a $100 gift card to Amazon.com and the chance to compete in the 24 hour contest against all the other channel winners for the grand prize of $5,000 cash. Got that? Okay. I was pretty darn active on that site and won a number of channels over the months. My mom was completely supportive and would vote all the time for me.  During this time, she discovered a rock band called Manic Bloom and fell in love with their sound. They are just amazing! In fact, in October of 2008, Manic Bloom actually won the coveted $5,000. How cool is that?!?

This last summer, Manic Bloom released their second EP called “In Loving Memory.” I jumped right on it and purchased one for myself after sampling just a few of the tracks. I then bought more copies. And more copies. I knew several family members and friends who would totally enjoy their music. That album is hardly ever out of my CD player even now. Rarely have I found such an album that I love this much.

Here is where I wanted to write an in depth, raving review of their EP, but alas, that is what has been keeping me from doing this giveaway. No more excuses! I want someone to win this thing and enjoy it as much as I have, so let’s just say that the EP is AMAZING and you will ENJOY IT! (A little aside, my boys love their music too. They don’t like all the “female” songs I play. They want rock songs sung by a boy! It cracks me up.) The singer is outstanding (and you all know how picky I am with the singers I listen to), the keyboardist/pianist makes my jaw drop with his skill, the drummer is the foundation of their tight sound and does it will skill and precision, I love the bass line in every single track, and the guitar players can P-L-A-Y!

On one of my orders, I asked if all the band members could sign the album because I had an idea that I wanted to use that particular copy for. And here it is! TADA! My idea! I want to give away that signed copy to one lucky commenter on this blog post. The contest is for this week only.
